Ti2 Coloured Titanium Jewellery
One of the fundamental characteristics of titanium is its ability to naturally form a spectrum of beautiful iridescent surface colours when oxidised. The process used called anodic oxidation, although a limited range of colours can be produced by applying heat to titanium. Colours range from black to vivid pink, and each colour corresponds to a specific voltage which is applied to the piece once it has been made and carefully prepared. Many of the Ti2 designs are produced in a range of 12 colours, but some pieces have what we call the rainbow effect applied to them, whereby a large section of the spectrum is applied to the piece.
