So What is Zirconium?

HISTORY
The chemical element zirconium was originally identified in 1789 by the German chemist Martin Heinrich Klaproth. In the early 1940’s, zirconium was separated using a much more commercially viable method by William Justin Kroll and is now widely used in the industrial sector.

It is resistant to corrosion and has also been used in space shuttles!

Zedd showcases new and imaginative ring designs for men (although, of course, anyone is allowed to buy and wear them!).

COLOUR CHANGE
Zirconium experiences a range of colours when heated, meaning it can be used to create grey or black finishes and even blue! Once zirconium is heated and combined with precious metals, we can offer exciting and luxurious creative designs which look stylish for any occasion. At the moment, only black is suitable for use in jewellery.

PERFECT PROPERTIES
Zirconium is lightweight but also durable, at 8-8.5 on the Mohs scale: Highly scratch resistant!

ZIRCONIUM vs TITANIUM
Zirconium is not to be confused or interchanged with Titanium. It is a third heavier and has a more lustrous feel. It has a less industrial perception with a smooth finish.
