Why Get Your Jewellery Valued?

We hope that your jewellery is never lost or stolen, but in the unfortunate event that it is you will need to make a claim on your insurance. When you make a claim, your insurance company will ask you for proof of ownership and value.

A professional jewellery valuation carried out by one of our experienced Valuers is by far the best way to maximise your chances of achieving a fair result. Also, if the police recover your lost possessions, a valuation with high-quality images and detailed descriptions could be the only way you can provide evidence of ownership.

All the jewellery and watch valuations we undertake are held on a secure database. They are held anonymously but are retrievable so they can be checked by the police and insurance companies when required.

All Valuations must be arranged through an F.Hinds branch. Some branches hold 'Valuation Days' which gives you an opportunity to sit down with the Valuer and go through your items piece by piece (an appointment is essential). If you are unable to make a Valuation Day, our stores are able to send your items off to be valued by the Valuer off-site. - A digital copy of your valuation portfolio, with a hard copy available upon request (£20 extra charge)
- Access to your valuation details on a secure database to aid recovery if lost
- Valuations will be emailed directly to you to enable you send on to your insurer in an easy format
